A Difference & New Design

As you probably have seen I got to sit down and write out a post and also change my blog design for Christmas. I love Christmas so very much!! I hope you like the new design!

DIY christmas decorationsThe past few days have been kinda rough with the homesickness of being back at college now and exams next week. I feel like I've been relying on God so very much the past few days and just needing to feel Him with me through some of the hard days. I get so caught up with the people, expectations, and material things of this life and I forget that this is all going to be gone one day. One day I will be in Heaven serving an awesome God and all that once seemed so terrible, horrific and important will cease to exist and everything that we did for God will determine our future. I should be trying to deepen my relationship with God every single day. I should be praying more. I should be thanking God more.

Lately I have felt like it has been growing harder and harder to live a life for Him. Especially with coming here to college. People seem to not have the same relationship as I do with my Best Friend. They don't treat Him the same way I think He should be treated. It is hard seeing others use His name in vain and treat Him as an option for their life and not a necessity. It seems like Christians all over the world aren't living a life as Christians should. We should be "little Christs" and when someone mentions your name they should think "Wow, yes- I see a difference in them. I see God in them."

Can others see a difference in your life? Can others see that you live for a different purpose? Can they see a joy in your smile? Do they notice that your mouth is clean and your heart is pure? Do they notice through your kind actions and heartfelt concerns?

We often get caught up on ourselves and our problems. While it is totally fine to focus on our needs, wants, and desires, we too should be first putting others and God before our own needs. Think of a way you can do something Christ-like for someone this week and make someone's life brighter. You may just be the first one to show God's true love to someone!

  1. Beautiful design as always!! Oh I love Christmas too!! :D
Very true--we should be vessels for Him and walk with Him in a way that lets Him shine as a light through us. No matter the circumstance, or who's around, we should not let them turn us from our faith and focus on God and His words. Very true!!
I'll be praying for your exams--be sure to let me know how I can pray for you and when your exams come up so I can be praying!! Love ya!

  6. I love the Christmas design! So pretty!

The semester is almost over, so that is something to look forward to. I know that you've been going through so much and I will certainly continue my prayers. It's so hard to be surrounded by people who don't take a relationship with God seriously and it makes it easier for US to get off track. Just keep your faith, Britt! You are a very wise person and you will definitely make it through this hard time! :)
