Broken Promises

Have you ever felt like you were in a stage of life that you were beginning to enjoy. You were just beginning to feel loved. Beginning to feel important. Beginning to accept yourself? Then suddenly and drastically everything was uprooted an changed? The people you once loved, trusted, needed and were accepted by, were gone? The people you once trusted were gone and you were left alone to face things on your own. The people you once saw everyday now were replaced with strange faces and different personalities.

The people who once said they would be there for you suddenly seemed to non-exist. The people who you thought cared about you the most didn't seem concerned anymore. The people you once thought you could rely on and need in your life now just don't seem to want you anymore. Needing their support now more than ever and not feeling wanted no matter where you look.

Feeling like you can easily be replaced and overlooked in just a few short days. Wanting to find somewhere that someone needs and wants you. Wanting to find someone who cannot live without you. Wanting to find a heart that will always listen and be there for you. Wanting someone who will not change their words and make false promises.

Psalm 142:4-5
Look to the right and see: there is none who takes notice of me; no refuge remains to me; no one cares for my soul.I cry to you, O Lord I say, “You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living."

When we feel like we've grown to have no purpose anymore. When we feel like nobody needs us or wants us please remember this one thing: God created you for a purpose. You are inspiring others more than you know. People love you more than you know. God has reasons for all that happens to us. Maybe He has used the changes in your life to better equip you for future events. Maybe He wanted you to grow in areas without those people in your life. He has more in store for you than you can ever imagine. Don't hold onto the past too tightly so that you cannot grasp the present effectively.

 Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.
