I Need

I don't need people to make me feel satisfied.

I don't need things to make me happy.

I don't need to feel loved to be content with myself.

I don't need perfect situations to make me enjoy the present

I don't need all the answers to serve God

I don't need to be perfect to be a Christian

I don't need to see God working to know He is still there for me

I don't need to always act like I have things together when my world is falling apart

I don't need anything.....except GOD

God satisfies my every need and fulfills all my broken and emptiness within me. It may seem like I need to fill myself with things of this world, longing for others approval and trying to find love but God will give me all that I need. I may feel like things are hopeless and don't satisfy what I am searching for, but all I need is God.Even though we don't need anything or anyone other than God, He does bring the right people and things along to help us through- since we need help and love. God works through the things of this earth to show us His love and provision- but even though we rely on stuff of this world, He is the only thing we truly need.

Often things take my focus off of God and make me feel like I need stuff, but I don't. I don't need the latest technology gadget, I don't need to be popular, I don't need to have everything together....all I need is God. When I finally understand that one day everything will be taken away- my earthly desires, my home, my possessions- everything I once thought was important- I'll finally see that all I needed was God. Right now it is hard to understand that God is all I need, but I have to constantly remind myself that He is all I need.

God is all you need too. This world may draw your attention away from God. The things of this world steal our focus and we don't know how we will live without something, but when things get hard we will realize that we turn to God and need Him more than anything else. He is all that matters and one day we will meet Him in heaven and see that He is the only one that we ever truly needed.
