When the Future is Uncertain

Sometimes what life brings we can't handle on our own. We don't know what the future holds or where life will take us. Sometimes we have to take a step of faith and go for it. Often times I try to worry about everything that goes wrong so that when it happens I won't be so overtaken by fear and embarrassment. Somehow worry seems to help and prepare me for what is going to come. But then again, other times I don't worry and nothing bad happens.

Worry reminds me that I am not putting enough faith in God to do what is best. Worry shows lack of trust in God and reminds me that my future is rising above my faith in God. Sometimes I feel like not worrying is impossible to do when there are so many things I am not sure about. So many things can go wrong and I could make such a fool of myself. I even worry about the past and stupid things I said or did that people define me as that are not true.

Wherever you are in your life right now know there is a purpose. What lies in your future you cannot control right now. Your life has meaning and God has a special plan for you no matter how insignificant you feel. Sometimes all it takes is the first step of bravery to do something amazing. Your future may be scary, but with God we know that He is with us wherever we go and there is no reason to be afraid. God has your future in His hands and sometimes all we can do is trust in Him to help us through. So if you are feeling afraid or uncertain of something in your life and you don't know how to get through- trust that God will help you and leave it in His hands because that is the best place for it to be.

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you, to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.

  2. That verse is one of my favorites. I found this to be very inspiring! I don't enjoy worrying, but I certainly do my fair share of it! It's so helpful to know that God has my life planned out, even when I am so unsure of my next move. Thanks for the reminder!

I want to thank you so much for putting my blog on your favorite blogs list on the side bar. I was wondering though if you could switch it from Uniquely Natalie Forever, to A Proverbs 31 Girl. Thank you SO much!
