A Conviction in My Life

Sometimes God allows us to go through things to refocus our lives. I know I had a sin in my life that I wasn't acknowledging and yesterday God really opened my eyes to show me just how wrong it was. Sometimes God brings something to our view and opens our eyes to allow us to see that we need to change something. Sometimes I get so caught up in this sinful life and the constant sinful ways of the world that I feel like I'm not doing anything wrong, but then I have to remember what Jesus would do and then it shows me how far off my lifestyle is.

God truly brought something into my life these past few days and it allowed me to see that I needed to make some changes in my life that I had been doing. Something that I had been doing in my life for a little while now truly came into perspective and God really showed me that I needed to remove it from my life. It is something that I know I will have trouble eliminating from my life since it is more of an inner change than an exterior change. I felt like deep inside I knew it was wrong, but I just was not willing to give it up since I wanted to feel a certain way so bad. But then I realized how much time it was taking up from my time with God and I felt like I was getting farther away from God. Sometimes we get so caught up in feelings, actions, schedules and other things and they just become so routine and normal and we forget that just because we do them, or maybe other people do them doesn't make it right.

So I encourage you all- do you have anything that you feel God is convicting you of down in the deepest part of your heart that you have been avoiding? do you have the slightest doubt of something in your life? it could be a sign that it is something you should remove from your life and ask for forgiveness. If so make it right with God and it will help you draw closer to God and it will make you feel better too!
