I Almost Did It

Sorry that I haven't been on blogger much these past few days. With starting up college lately and having homework it has kept me busy.

Sometimes I hear things that I really want to share with you all on here, but then when I get around to posting I lose the inspiration of that moment or I forget what I wanted to share. I constantly try to keep notes in my mind (and on paper) of ideas I want to share. So, for today I wanted to share something I heard recently and it truly touched me.

Cherry blossoms. :)
Have you ever felt led to do something- something big in your life and you felt afraid and even though you knew it was the right thing to do, you truly didn't want to do it? How about something small....maybe you wanted to do something for someone and you were going to reach out, but you never did? We all at one point or another feel led to do something, but then in fear, regret or awkwardness we lose that force to push us to do it. We ALMOST do it, but then we think of what might happen and we become afraid or ashamed and don't want to make a fool of ourselves. We let fear step in and it pushes out our confidence. But when we ALMOST do something it doesn't mean a thing- when we ALMOST do it, it is like not doing it at all. We should reach out, do those things we feel led to do and not let fear get in the way.

Don't let Satan get a hold of your feelings and inside you- be strong and let God take control, don't let Satan in. Don't let him ruin your life just because you were too focused on what was ahead. Lean on God and focus on what He can do through you and not on what Satan will take from you. Don't let Satan conquer over your life. He can sometimes get inside of us and cause us to doubt- don't let that happen. Keep placing your confidence in God because He will do what is best and will never do anything to harm you.

So, this week, don't just ALMOST do something, because it is not getting you anywhere closer to doing it. Go out and actually DO IT! : )

  1. I agree! :) I've had these feelings come to me sometimes. Sometimes I do the right thing, and sometimes I don't. But yeah. Ditto! :)
