I've Been Wating For You {poem}

I thought I might share a poem I wrote that you all might enjoy. This is a bit different than my other poems since this is about another aspect of my life other than just my spiritual life. I hope that maybe something I wrote in here could apply to something you are feeling.....so here it goes....

I’ve Been Waiting For You

I’ve been waiting for you but you never came
The one person I loved so much and you hardly ever said my name.
I tried to show you how much I cared and I secretly loved you
But I guess you never really knew

I thought maybe I was something special in your eyes
But I guess I’m just another ordinary girl that passed you by.
All the memories we had play back in my head
All the sweet things you did for me and the kind words you said.
But, were they really out of love or care?
Or were they just thoughtless words and deeds that you thought to share?
I thought you might have loved me
<3But now I finally can see
That you don’t care or even think of me anymore.
Because if you really cared you would have showed it more.
I’ve never told anyone how I really feel about you, and I probably never will
But I hope you feel loved and know that my love for you is in my heart still.
I think about you almost everyday and wonder where you might be
And I hope that maybe just one day you might think of me

  1. This is such a sweet poem, and again I see your heart in it. So many of us have these people in our lives who we love and they never realize it, who you feel friendship and loyalty for but it is never revealed to them. And those friends that you had but as they grew older forgot about how much you were friends with them and how much you loved them. Yet you still keep loving them and being loyal to them even though they never know it! And it does make such an effect on their lives, and God sees the love that you have for those people, and even if those people never know your feelings they are daily affected by it.
This is such a great poem and is so full of your heart...thank you for sharing this!!
