If only someone took the time to get to know you.
If only someone took the consideration to care.
If only someone loved you and appreciated you for who you are without wanting something from you.
If only someone could see past your appearance.
If only someone could see past your scars and remain with you even when times get hard.
If only the world saw humbleness and meekness like God does
If only others could see the inside of you like God does
Sometimes I get disappointed in the person I have become and wonder why I don't step out more and hide myself. Sometimes I feel like I'm not worthy to talk to others and I feel like I'm wasting people's time. I always question when people seem friendly or talk to me and wonder what motives they have, since I feel like they're probably not doing it because they care. I guess it's because I've been hurt so many times in the past and thought of people with the best intentions and then was let down.
Ever since my dad passed away I've become less social, quiet and reserved. I think part of my self esteem died with him and I get upset sometimes knowing I once had that within me but now I can't find it. I know God uses even the hardest of times for His good and through it I know He's doing something with my life that He could have never done if my dad was still alive.
We all have had something hurt us. Something break us and tear us apart. Something that hinders us from being someone we want to be. I know my lack of self-confidence and unworthiness has stolen so much of me and hindered me from so much. I'm sure you have had something that hindered you in your own life as well. It's hard to overcome our fears and insecurities and know that they are something that God sees and still accepts us. Use your insecurities to help grow you and help you relate to others. Even if you can't overcome them, you can use them to connect with others and impact them in a whole new way that others can't. Your life is precious. Your life is impacting others. Your life is incomparable.
When others make you feel insignificant know that God thinks you are important
When others make you feel unworthy know that God calls you royalty
When others forget your importance know that God knows every tear you've cried
When others persecute you know that God is blessing you!
When you hate yourself know that God loves every detail about you!
I'd really like to hear from you. What is an insecurity you have? What type of impact do you want to have? Please comment below- I'd really like to hear!
2 Corinthians 12:10
That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
I Samuel 16:7
But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."
