Some days I feel tired
Some days all I want to do is give up
Some days I feel like such a failure
Some days I just want to stay in bed
And, some days I wonder why I didn't.
We all have days that we just feel like the world is crashing down on us and nobody seems to notice. Sometimes I wonder if God is truly up there and sees everything that is happening. Lately life has been so stressful and has left me weary and worn out. All I want to do is go home and relax for a year.
But somehow even when I feel like I couldn't take one more moment I feel God strengthen me and give me the courage to continue. I don't know where I would be without God directing me and strengthening me. So many days I have gotten up on God's strength and not my own. It would have been so easy to give up and quit, but God reminded me to take the hard route and continue on. Also, having some pretty awesome role models to look up to helped as well. My sister and my mom have always been such preserverers (if that is even a word?). They have not just verbally expressed it, but physically shown it through their lives. They are one of the main reasons I get up everyday and conquer even though I don't have the strength within me.
God has been the one here with me all along. He's shown me that no matter where I go He will be right beside me leading me and cheering me on. And He will be the one carrying me when I don't have the strength to walk any farther. Often we feel like we have to do things on our own. We get weak and wobbly. But part of our problem is that we don't go to God and ask for His help and strength. He will help provide us with the energy and courage to face each day. He's always got our best in mind and He'll never leave us to fend for ourselves. So ask for God's strength when you haven't got any left. Don't lose heart, God's right there with you. He's got a great confidence in you!
O Lord, be gracious to us; we long for You. Be our strength every morning, our salvation in times of distress.
Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will sour on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary;
they will walk and not be faint.
