Catching a Breath

Heart beating fast. Trying to catch a breath for a break of the heartaches. Nervous for what lies ahead. Not being able to be happy in the present due to future events. Thoughts keep pounding away at my heart and I wonder if I'll ever get through what lies ahead.

Things have been kinda crazy here lately- so I'm so sorry that I've not gotten a chance to post on my blog. I've also felt a lack of inspiration to post. Maybe that is a reason why I've neglected my blog recently. Usually when I am going through the hardest times is when I feel like I post most on my blog. Somehow posting on here allows me to grow closer to God and feel closer in my relationship with Him. So many feelings and emotions have been running through my mind recently.

Heading off away to college in less than a month has been the top thing on my "worry list" recently. Just when I feel like I can enjoy the present, I am quickly reminded of the many changes I will be facing in less than a month and my current happiness quickly fades away.

A few months ago it was easy to trust in God to help me face the future- but now with so many uncertain things it has been harder to leave things in His hands. I don't think I have ever had to trust God more with my life than I do right now. Maybe you are in the position right now as well? Maybe you are afraid for where God will lead you and you are uncertain of where He will take you when you put your trust in Him? Know that whatever happens in your lifetime will soon be put to rest and you will be relieved of the struggles. I have to constantly remind myself that when the struggles of this life overtake me and flood my mind that they are not important. The things of this world are not important when I remember what my true purpose is in God's eyes.

God has a purpose and meaning in your life. He has you where you are and He knows that you can influence others differently than anyone else. Don't let the current struggles you are in pull you into the world and its influence. Let your circumstances draw you closer to God and grow closer to Him. Place your trust in Him and know that He will help you through when things seem to be impossible.

  2. Hi Britt and everyone else reading this. Please pray for a family we know. The father and his car are missing, and it appears from the tracks found in the garden and his glasses found in the bushes that there was some kind of struggle. Please pray that he is safe and will be found soon, for all his family and friends, and, although I find it very difficult to do so, for the terribly lost people responsible for this awful happening. Any prayers will be greatly appreciated, this is a very hard, sad time for all who know him. Please spread the word and ask everyone you know to pray for them. Thank you.
