When Times are Good

Lately I have felt like I haven't had much inspiration on writing here on my blog. Maybe it's because life has been busy and I haven't had time to sit down and feel inspired....or maybe it is because I haven't felt very close to God recently. When things get busy sometimes God gets shoved out the door (at least in my life). Other things come first, but when I need Him I sometimes wonder why He doesn't respond right away. God is always there for us when we need Him. He never leaves our side. Lately I have put God after the things I am doing in my life and have not sat down and just had time to talk with God.

It is in these times when I feel less spiritual and I want to feel that closeness again. It makes me appreciate those times when I feel so close with God and I can see Him working. During the hard times I get so frantic and feeling unrest- but when I look back upon those times I want that feeling of when I was so close to God. If I could just grasp that closeness and put it into my life all the time it would be so amazing....but I think it would be hard to appreciate those times when we grow so close to God if we had them all the time.

Sometimes I think it is harder to grow closer to God when times are good. I often find myself spending less time with God when I feel life is easy and things are going as planned. But it takes prayer. A prayer to ask God to help you draw closer to Him again. Praying with God always helps me feel so close to Him and it is so reassuring to know that He IS listening. He listens when nobody else cares. People get annoyed with my opinions, thoughts and questions- but God never does! People reject me and their love does not last, but God's always will.

So if you are feeling like your life has become routine, planned, unfocused, confused, unclear....maybe it is time to pray and ask God to give you guidance and to fill your life back up to the purpose He has planned for it. Don't just exist- leave a legacy and LIVE out your life!
