Weekly Character Challenge {Week 21}

This past week has been a crazy one alright. Sorry that I haven't gotten chance to get onto blogger much and do a post. For all of you who celebrated Thanksgiving, I hope you had a great holiday!!

So, today I am doing my weekly Character Challenge. I've been thinking of what to do it on and I feel that God has really laid it on my heart to choose this topic for this week.

So, this week try to focus on the positives in each situation. When you feel that "it's not your day" or things keep going wrong, know that there is a reason for all that you are going through. Know that God is allowing you to go through it for a special purpose and it is changing you for the better- you just need to have the right attitude through it.

Sometimes we let all the negatives get us down and ruin our day or outlook. I'm sure we all have let that one negative comment put us down and make us feel so damaged inside. I know around a year ago a girl told me that I was ugly and she thought I wasn't pretty. It truly lowered my already low self esteem of myself. I felt so incredibly hurt and upset inside- she told it right to my face and after that it hurt me for weeks.
 But am I going to let one person's opinion going to get me down? or am I going to focus on what God thinks of who I am? which one matters more to me?  Outer beauty is not everything, and while we all are beautiful in God's sight our inner beauty is more of what matters. No matter how beautiful we may be on the outside, it does not show the beauty from our heart. Even though we all would like to be "attractive" and be loved for our outer appearance, we should realize that those who only look at the outer appearance don't take the time to get to know the real you and experience your true beauty from inside of you- that is so much more special than having "good looks." Wow, sorry that was a bit off subject, but anyways, what I am trying to say is that we can find the good in every situation.

This week even though you may come across some hurtful comments, trying situations, bad days, hard trials....whatever it may be, know that there is a reason why you are going through it- and maybe God is trying to protect you from something or help you grow closer to Him through it. We don't always know why things happen, but it helps me get through the hard times knowing that there is a wonderful and perfect reason why I'm going through it- I just have to accept it, see the postives, have the right attitude and trust in God. So, this week take time to look at all the good in each situation and trust God through each one.

Thanks for dropping by! I hope you all have a great day!

  2. This was a lovely post Britt!
    It is so true that we all need to work on
    looking at the blessings and good side of things,
    instead of the bad side, and bitter thoughts.
    Thank you.
