Unfair Circumstances

Since my character challenge for this week is based on having a positive attitude in trying circumstances I thought I would post something that I've been experiencing this week regarding that.

chocolate peppermint barkYesterday was not the greatest day- things just kept adding up and it was a pretty terrible day. But even though things were all bad I actually didn't feel angry at the situations or upset. Today on the other hand, didn't go so well either. Plans that I had were changed in an instant and I didn't act with the best of attitudes. When I sat down to write the post tonight I realized that the weekly character challenge post I did on Monday was about remaining hopeful on hard days. It really challenged me and made me realize that I should be looking at the good things and remain optimistic.

Sometimes when things don't go my way I look to God and say "How come? How come things can't go the way I want? How come things are always so unfair? why can't things ever go smoothly? Why does this always happen to me?" And things sometimes do seem unfair- and your circumstances maybe are unfair- but that does not mean they will always be unfair. The good circumstances you face may seem like they are outweighed by the bad ones- but in reality God is not unfair. Whatever you face down here that may seem so truly unfair is not. When we reach heaven every injustice, every mistreatment, everything that seemed so unfair will be made right and will not go unnoticed or unrecognized.

Hebrews 6:10
For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers, as you still do.

Matthew 20:16
So the last will be first, and the first last.

So if you feel like your circumstances feel unfair today, know that God sees what you are going through all that you are, and He knows that you can handle it, but only with His help. When things get hard don't look to God and blame Him for it, but thank Him and know that He knows exactly what He's doing, even if it is not what you wanted.

Hope that this could have encouraged you!! Have a great weekend!!

  1. Indeed, I can recall many time when I have asked "Why God? Why?". But He is there for His children!

    Good post, Britt ;-)
