Keeping A Clean Mindset

A verse that I have been continually thinking about and applying to my life recently is
Psalm 19:14
"Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer. "

This verse is constantly reminding me of the words that I say to others and the thoughts in my mind should be acceptable to God and be pleasing to Him. How often the words I think or say can not be to acceptable to God and I often forget the things I think are just as wrong as the words I say. Sometimes I can't control the thoughts I think, but I have to ask God to forgive me for thinking those thoughts and ask Him to help me keep a clean mind.

When I begin to get jealous of someone, have negative thoughts about something, think wrongly of others, get angry or upset I have to remember that I should be thinking and saying words that are pleasing to God. I constantly am sinning when I think wrongly of others and make fun of them in my head or get annoyed with others and become grumpy.

It is when this happens that I have to ask God for help and remember this verse to keep clean and good thoughts in my head and not focus on the bad thoughts.

So the next time you catch yourself thinking bad thoughts or have a negative mindset replay this vers in your mind and try to live it out.

Have a wonderful day and thanks for visiting!!
