Bible Character Study {2}

Well, today I thought I would do a Bible Character Study.

Today I thought I would choose the Proverbs 31 woman. In my devotional book recently I have been reading a lot about her. I never realized how much there was to learn about her in the book of Psalms. So,here is some of what I have learned about her over the past few months-

Yes, she is a woman who can do it all and seems quite "perfect" but then again she is a woman that we can all look to and aspire to be like her!
See how many qualities you can find in her that are like yourself! :)

-She is a confident woman who loves God and serves Him with her life

-She makes her own clothes and household items

-She showed Christ through the life she lived and helped others

-She used her talents by making linens and gave them to others.

-She was diligent and hardworking

-She was eager for the future and anticipated it eagerly

-She was compassionate and spoke kind words to others. (Proverbs 31:26- she opens her mouth in skillful and goldy wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness.)

-She was a responsible woman and was alert to her surroundings

-She doesn't waste her time on gossip, waste and self pity. She keeps a positive attitude.

-She sometimes wants to give up, but realizes that hard work is worth it and seeing the outcome of hard work gives her the strength to preservere.

-She shows initiative and uses her time wisely. She helped the needy and cared for those who were less fortunate. (Proverbs 31:19-20- she lays her hands to the spindle,  She opens her hand to the poor, yes, she reaches out her filled hands to the needy.)

-She was a strong woman and treated her body as the temple of the Holy Spirit

-She realizes that she cannot do everything and considers her duties before taking on new ones on. She plans ahead and thinks through things. She doesn't start a new task without completing another first.

-She spends time with God before anything else and it is her main focus before working

-She comforts, encourages and cares for her husband (Proverbs 31:12- she comforts, encourages, and does him only good as long as there is life within her)

-The husband of the Proverbs 31 woman can trust in her and can put complete confidence in their relationship. (Proverbs 31:11- The heart of her husband trusts in her confidently and relies on and believes in her securely.)

Well, I have to say- I'm nowhere close to having all of these characteristics. But she is a great lady to have as a role model! :) I hope you enjoyed the post and learned something from it!!!
