If You Saw My Heart....

Okay, so I thought I would stray from my normal posting for Wednesday (which is my normal day to do a Bible Study post) and I thought I would just do a list of things about my heart. I hope you enjoy it!! : ) Feel free to link up in a comment if you would like to do a post like this as well....

35 ways to wrap a Christmas gift.
If you saw my heart you would know that I am worried about my future
If you saw my heart you would know that I doubt my beauty
If you saw my heart you would see that I like sad songs
If you saw my heart you would know I want someone (other than my mom or sister) to just love me for who I am and not for what I have done or who I will become- just me
If you saw my heart you would see that my heart is not always as happy as my actions are
If you saw my heart you would know that I still grieve my dad passing away and I miss him more everyday
If you saw my heart you would know that I am very unconfident
If you saw my heart you would know that I wish I could express who I really am instead of hiding myself from others
If you saw my heart you would see that I often feel rejected by others
If you saw my heart you would know that I just want a friend who will always be there and will be kind and true
If you saw my heart you might see that I feel like everyone I grow close to always goes away
If you saw my heart you would see that it is broken inside
If you saw my heart you would see that I have an everlasting hope in God
If you saw my heart you would know that I am going to heaven and I can't wait to see my Savior!

Well,  I hope you enjoyed that!! : ) Thanks for dropping by!
Hope you have a great day.

  1. I know how you feel about a lot of these... especially numbers 1, 2, 4, 7, 8, 9, 12, and (happily) 14.

I struggle with insecurities too, and just want people to like me for me.

  2. Britt, we are more alike than you might think! And, I'll be your friend for you are. I have 2 friends like that. This made me cry, because I saw that you and I alike VERY MUCH!!! More like exactly alike!!
If you saw my heart you would see that I'm depressed. Yes, I do have problems with depression.
If you saw my heart you would also see that I'm thankful that Jesus is always with me, and that makes me not think about depression.

  3. We are so much alike. Most of those things I struggle with, Britt. Just remember that you are always loved by Jesus. I would hate for you to go through depression like I did because I forgot that Jesus loved me and kept all of my struggles inside. If you ever need to talk feel free to contact me!

  4. A great post Britt! I'll probably do something like this tomorrow...those first couple hit very close to home. It really makes you think about our hearts...
A heart may not be "just" an organ...
But it's also the place we hide away feelings.
The things that we don't want escaping our shell, mask or charade.
The things that if let out, could come back and hurt us.
The things that seem silly but all to real when we face them.
The things that someone else might not understand.
A heart is very important...and after a while all of us might open it.
A heart is important for more than just breathing.

  5. Very nice post Britt. Remember, you are young and one day, you will have many changes and happenings in your life. As a young girl, I felt a lot like you do now, but then I met my Ben and had 37 wonderful years with him. Now I have found that I am growing stronger than ever and I feel that I am getting more confident in myself. It will all happen for you. I send you love and hugs.
