My Time With God

I've been quite busy lately in my life. Just college and other things have been keeping me busy and I haven't gotten much time to post normally. I feel like I've been slacking on blogging and keeping up with other's blogs- I'm sorry if I haven't been commenting as much on your blog!!
I also have been slacking in another area of my life- my spiritual walk. I've been busy and I have to admit that I haven't been spending as much time with God as I should. I spend time doing things that interest me, but I can't seem to take time for God. I know that sounds very bad, but I do.

I think because of me not spending as much time with God lately, I have had less inspiration for blog posts. I am going to try to keep myself accountable and spend more time with God starting this week. This kind of fits with the character challenge I have on my blog for this week (to not give up and keep persevering). I shouldn't give up on my walk with God and even though things may take up most of my time, I should still find time to spend with God.

If you are experiencing a time in your life where you feel yourself getting to busy with other tasks or maybe you are having a lack of interest in spending time with God- don't give up yet. Remain steadfast and spend a few extra minutes with Him than you normally do. No time with God will ever go unnoticed or will never not be worth it. God is always there waiting to hear from us, so don't keep Him waiting any longer! : )

Isn't it nice to know that no matter how long we spend time away from God or don't involve Him in our life- He will still love us the same and His love will never change for us. He will never treat us differently when we haven't spent time with Him for a while. So inspiring!!! I appreciate that, since when I don't talk to someone for a while down here on earth - they often get upset or are offended, but God isn't- that is such a wonderful thought!

Well, thanks for dropping by, have a wonderful day!!!!

  1. Thanks Britt! I have been struggling with this as well... school is so busy and a lot of my subjects are very tough and even know I am not quite in High School yet some of my subjects are High School grade.
    Thanks again for the encouragement!

  2. I have trouble spending special time with God too. It isn't so much a daily thing for me to take a while and just be quiet and listen to God or talk to him or just read the Bible not worried about when I have to stop. I try to constantly pray and talk to him though, and I have been doing better at reading this devotional book I found everyday. I usually read my Bible at least a little each day too. But I really enjoy when I can and do take time to just find a quiet spot and read my Bible aloud, or get a piece of paper and a pen or pencil and write down everything on my mind to God and Jesus. When I find time to do things like that I just feel really refreshed.

  3. Beautiful post, Britt! I have struggle with spending time with God- I am there myself! I like to read the Bible at night when it is quiet and nobody is around, and I just journal my prayer down on paper. I will keep you in prayer!

  4. i have also found that when I am out of my word, and haven't spent much time with God, I have less things to blog about...but we so easily forget that when we prioritize the things of God, he prioritizes us.
I love scheduling posts on my blog...I have done that and now have posts scheduled all the way until the end of November!!!
    I loved this post Britt.
I love that God loves us REGARDLESS.
thank you for that sweet reminder.
    have a great day!

  5. Wonderful post! Thank you for sharing.

Never give up! God is always waiting for us to come running into His arms. :D
