Doubting Your Beauty

I have been wanting to post this post for some time now, but just haven't had the time and the right words to write it. So hopefully God will give me the right words to write it so you can apply and be encouraged by it.
.
Throughout our lives each of us most likely doubts ourselves and wonders if we are beautiful/handsome or "attractive" on the outside. Sometimes we fail to care about the inner beauty we have and we want someone to say to us that we ARE beautiful on the outside. If someone tells you that YOU are beautiful you may feel good at the time and it boosts your confidence, but then soon again you lack that confidence in yourself and you doubt your beauty. It is hard having the faith in yourself and that God truly did create you perfectly how He wanted you to be. He is the most Holy God ever and if He looks at you and says YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL, then shouldn't you believe Him? I know it is hard when we don't hear those words in person, but we can just imagine His mighty and caring voice saying those words to us. God doesn't just love you for how you look on the outside, but He looks at your inner beauty and says that you are so beautiful as well. He loves you just for who you are and loves you because you are different from everyone else. Someone wrote a love letter just for you and loves you so very much and that "person" is God! And when He tells you that He Loves YOU He means it and will always mean it!  His love will NEVER EVER change and will last no matter what you do. When you feel like you aren't beautiful or that nobody loves you, know that someone does love you- God does and I do too!

I have to admit, sometimes I feel like God's love isn't enough for me. I want someone in my life down here to show me love and care for me since sometimes I can't always see or feel God's love for me. I think it is because I don't see God's love for me every day in the fullest, but God does show me His love every day even though I can't always see it. But when I do experience His love it sure is fantastic and amazing and it makes me realize just how powerful His love is. And when I see the real power of God's love that is when I am reminded that all I need is His love. The other night I was talking with my Mom and she said for me to ask God to "Show me His love" since I had felt like I wasn't experiencing much love from others in my life. And since then I can honestly tell you all that I have prayed those words in my life  and so far I have been seeing so much more love in my life and it truly is amazing. So, if you are feeling like you are not seeing or experiencing much love in your life pray those words today "Lord, I want you to show me Your love."

Here are just a few quotes I thought you might like that have encouraged me and really helped me through my life and hard times....

I find myself encouraged by the picture quotes out there that people made/uploaded. They seem to really express and relate to just what I am feeling throughout times of my life. I hope that some of these might have helped relate to those feelings in your heart today.

Thanks for dropping by!!! Remember YOU are AMAZING, LOVED and BEAUTIFUL!!!! And also remember the words "Lord, I want you to show me Your love"  today. Have a fantastic Sunday!!!

  1. What an encouraging post, Britt. I'll admit that I find it hard sometimes to put my complete trust in God, but when I really think about it I know that His ways are better than my own, so why should I ever doubt Him in the first place? Love the 5th pin btw, it speaks right into my heart. :)
