Faith or Feelings?

Lately I have been doubting and not trusting as much in God. Normally I am more of a positive and optimistic person (trying to find the good in things), but lately I have kind of been losing hope and not being so positive in circumstances. I feel like when hard times come along I don't trust God and want to back down.

Tonight in my devotions I read about faith and feelings. How many times I focus on my feelings and don't put my faith in God. I have to remember to trust in God completely- leave all my worries with Him and just trust that He will do what is best. Now saying and doing this is completely different- it sounds so easy- but in reality it is so very tough! Doing this is not a one time thing either- we should be constantly doing this and placing our trust in God (even in the small things.)

Trusting God doesn't happen overnight- it takes practice and hard work. Part of trusting in God is asking Him to help us place our faith in Him and keep a right mindset.

When we are trying to make a decision it is hard to know what to do and which choice is best, but by asking God for help and placing our faith in Him we know that He will show us which choice to pick and whatever one He leads us to will be the best one. Even though we may know God's choice is best it is still so very hard not knowing what the choice hold for us- but that is where we have to trust in God that He knows the future and knows that it is best for us.

Faith is a risky thing and can be scary at times since we don't know what lies beyond our faith. But through it all we know that faith helps us grow and faith helps us learn. Without faith we wouldn't see God work and without faith we wouldn't have as such of a strong relationship with God.

Sorry this is such a long post, but I felt like I needed to write what was on my heart.
Thanks for reading and listening to my rambling!!!
