Weekly Character Challenge- Week 3

Well, it is time for the Weekly Character Challenge again. Feel free to leave a comment below about anything that came up that you did for last week's character challenge. (To remind you- It was to preservere and have courage through something and keep going despite wanting to give up.)

So, anyways....this week's Character Challenge is to SPEND TIME WITH GOD- Spend less time on things that draw your attention from God. Try to spend less time doing things that you normally do and take that time to spend a few more minutes with God.Try to spend a half an hour each day with Him, either talking with Him in prayer, reading your devotions, or reading a chapter or two in the Bible. Maybe spend a few minutes longer with God praying each day and read into the verses you read in your Bible.

So many times I just skim over important Bible verses and rush to get my devotions over with. And when I pray before each of my meals many times I don't even pay attention to the words I am saying to God. I often forget that I am praying to the God who created me and take advantage of the awesomeness that I have being able to talk to Him and that He always listens- I shouldn't take advantage of that time I have with Him and spend it on worthless things that don't even matter!

So, basically this week spend more time with God. Delve deeper into His Word and talk to Him on a more intimate level than you normally do. I assure you it will not be a waste of your time! Let me know either throughout the week or at the end of the week how you all make out- I would love to hear!!

Have a great Memorial Day to you all!! Thank you to all who served an fought for our country- we truly would not be here without you who risked your life for our country!

Sierra- to tell you the truth, I didn't do too well on the last challenge either. Yeah, definitely, you don't just have to do them for a week, but continue to do them! I forgot to mention that in the post! Thanks so much for your comment Sierra! You have a wonderful Memorial day as well!
