A Fresh Start [poem]

Feeling an ache in my heart

Sometimes the struggles of this world can tear me apart

I become disappointed in the choices I've made

I've relied on myself when I should have prayed

Why does life have to be so relentless?

Why are the struggles always endless?

I've made mistakes and given in

But even when I've fallen so low, I'm still forgiven

God understands and knows my heart

And when I fall down He's there to give me a fresh new start

When others don't see how hard the choices are that you have to make

God's sees and He's there to quiet your heartache

Nobody may understand how much it hurts you

But no matter how hard it gets, He'll be there to pull you through

You aren't in this alone

You don't have to do it on your own

Give it up to God, let Him take it

Don't lose hope and don't quit

It will be worth it, God guarantees it!

For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.
