A Loss Of Hope

Sometimes I have trouble moving on when I don't have much to look forward to. There are times in my life where I just can't think of something that I long to be excited for. It seems everything I get excited for always ends up being no fun or it passes too quickly and I'm just left with the feeling to do it again. But things that were once fun are not the same the second time- each time is different. I feel like the older I get the things I once got excited for are no longer as exciting. And the things I truly long to do never really happen. The people I long to be around are the ones I hardly ever see and the people I can't stand are the ones I have to see every day. But you know what? those people I truly care about I will most likely see up in heaven one day. I will get to spend eternity with them and that is worth so much more than spending time with them down here. That is something I can look forward to.

But something that has been on my heart lately is for those I know (and love) that may not be saved and going to heaven. How I wish I could show them God's love and allow them to come to heaven with me too. I just get so upset at the thought of those I love so much not being able to see ever again- to know that they will be in agony forever. It truly breaks my heart. But I've been praying for those who I know that might be unsaved and that God will open their eyes.

When I feel like I am down to nothing down here and like God is not using me in any way, I know that I'm on this earth for a purpose. And hopefully something I say or do each day can influence someone and allow them to see God in me and through my actions. I just hope I'm making a difference for God out there somewhere in the world. That is my one desire- to show kindness and love for God through my life.

In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.  You know the way to the place where I am going.

So  if you feel like you don't have much to look forward to in your life and you feel like you don't have something to live for- remember your purpose and that God has you here for a special reason. He has you here another day to influence someone else's life. And when you feel no hope for the future look to heaven and all the time you will spend with other Christians you love and the time you will spend with the God who created you! And remember to pray for those whom you know who may not be saved- we never know when today may be our (or their) last day.
