Waiting Room

Have you ever felt like you are constantly sitting in a waiting room? Maybe not a physical waiting room, but you feel like you are waiting for answers. Waiting to hear from God. Waiting for direction.

Sometimes when I go to God I have my own ideas of what I'd like and it's hard to give them over to Him. Often times God's answer is different than what I would like and it is hard to accept what He knows is best.

A song inspired the topic of this post so I thought I'd include some of the lyrics...

 Even when we want something so bad and think it is for our best, God has a greater purpose for His "no" and "not yet" answers. We may not understand His reasoning, but He sees the greater picture. Often times I think I know what is best for my life, but I can only see a few feet in front of me.

If you feel like you are waiting for God with a circumstance or heartache, ask God for direction. Trust His answer and know that no matter what the answer, it will be for your best. It may seem like God is trying to hurt you and cause you pain, but we just see a blurry photo when God sees the entire in-focused picture.
