Sometimes the circumstances we are facing seem so blurry and faint that we don't even know what lies ahead. We have trouble waiting in the present because we want to see the future. Sometimes we want to rush things in the present to gain things that lie down the road. God has us right where He wants us to be right now in our lives for a purpose. Just when you think things are at a dead end He makes a way possible.
Sometimes I question God's timing and what He is doing in my life. I wonder what He is trying to teach me and why it seems like there's one hard thing after another around every turn. Looking back now though I can see that those many long rough stages in my life were what drew me closer to God than ever before.
God has so many plans for our lives and can use us in so many unique ways. It's good to keep a good view on the future, but also trust God enough to know He will help us when the hard times come down the road.
Give God your doubts and fears and trust that He knows what is best. When we give Him our situations and worries, He will work through them and He has the perfect timing. Ask God to lead you and guide you where He wants you. Remain focused on the present but still plan ahead for the future. God can, and is, working through the most unforeseen circumstances in your life- trust Him and He will guide you!
Isaiah 43:1-4
Don’t be afraid, I’ve redeemed you.
I’ve called your name. You’re mine.
When you’re in over your head, I’ll be there with you.
When you’re in over your head, I’ll be there with you.
When you’re in rough waters, you will not go down.
When you’re between a rock and a hard place, it won’t be a dead end—
Because I am God, your personal God
When you’re between a rock and a hard place, it won’t be a dead end—
Because I am God, your personal God
I paid a huge price for you!
That's how much you mean to Me!
That's how much I love you!
Hey Britt!!! Lovely post, and love the verse at the end. I am at that place where I don't know if the Lord wants me to go to college in the fall, or if he wants me to stay where I am and take a gap year. It is a time in my life where I have to take a step back and realize that the Lord sees the entire picture, but I can only see the beginning. He knows what is best, even if I might think he is crazy at the moment. Thanks for sharing! Hope you are doing well. We haven't talked in a long time! I will probably email you!!
