Does My Life Impact Others?

Lately it seems as though I've been writing some depressing posts, I guess because life recently hasn't been so encouraging. But I hope even with my solemn posts you could maybe get something out of them despite their lack of joy.

Sometimes I'd like to see just how much of an impact my life has on those around me. I'd like to see if I brighten people's day by just sending a smile their way. I'd like to know if the words I write here on my blog do truly uplift someone and help them see their life in a different light. Sometimes I would like to know if my existence here impacts others more than I can see. Do I brighten someone's day by just saying hello? Do others think of me and smile?

We all have a purpose here on this earth. We were placed in exactly this time and place to serve a unique and wonderful purpose. A few verses that I think of offhand are:

Ephesians 3:20

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.

I Corinthians 2:9

No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.

We may think our life is worthless and not impacting others but in fact what we do truly influences them deeply. It can be a good impact and boost someone up, or it can also be a bad impact and hinder them too. The choices we make every day are influencing others around us, much more than we realize. Make an effort today to influence others for God and increase their confidence, joy and show them what true love is. We can make a larger impact the more we make an effort to go out of our way and show others we care and love them. We may never see just what an impact we made on one person's life just through the tiniest act or deed, but when we show love and kindness to others it is never wasted! So go out of your normal routine today and give a little love, I guarantee you will feel happier when you do!
