The Light in the Darkness

So sorry that I haven't been posting for like a week now! my goodness, things have been busy and I haven't gotten a chance to sit down and write down a post.

Things happen in our lives that don't make sense. Things happen that leave us irritated and fed up. It is so difficult to still look up to God in those hard irritating days and say "You have a reason beyond my struggles and You are working in my life." He uses our bad days and irritations to test our attitude and remind us that we have a far greater purpose behind all the petty problems we face. Most of the things we get angry and upset about are not the end of the world- things will be made right in God's time and we just have to keep focused on God. He knows what you need and how much you can handle. He will be with you every step of the way. God will never let you down even though it feels like everyone is against you. He will remain with you when everyone else has left you alone and doesn't understand your heartaches.

This past week has been quite chaotic with heading off to college soon and trying to trust in God with the future. Some circumstances arose and I felt like everything was crashing down- all I knew to do was to go to God and pray for His help. God truly did help work through the circumstances and allowed everything to work out. The fears of heading away from home for the first time have not gone away, but knowing that God is with me and will help me through the trials that lie ahead reminds me that I'm not alone.

God has reasoning behind every little thing we go through. Every hurtful word said to us. Every heart break, every let down. If it is hard to see God right now in your circumstances know He is the sun beneath the clouds waiting just to shine His warm rays of sunlight onto your life. When it seems like it is the darkest it could be, the sun will shine again. When it is hard to trust in something so unpredictable and unseen we know that we are blessed and God admires someone who trusts in Him and surrenders their life when they don't know what God will do or where God will take them. Give all your worries and heartaches to God- He can take better care of them than you can. Let out your heart to God and tell Him all your struggles, worries and fears. Know He takes into consideration all that you need. If you don't know what to do or where to turn- go to God- He will listen and do what is meant to be accomplished.

The past few nights I've been reading Psalm 46 these verses really encouraged me...

Psalm 46: 1-3,5

God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea. Though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging....God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at the break of day.
